The best of the Asics line I have worn so far. I do a lot of walking on concrete and on trails. I also do Turbo Jam (kickboxing, dance based cardio) and strength training. Being taller and "heavier" than the average woman I have always had issues with back, knee and ankle injuries as well as shin splints. I was introduced to the Asics line when I would run in college and have found them reliable. The Gel-Exp3 offer great shock absorption as well as lateral support for any of of the quick side to side movements that may be required when I do my workouts. They are a bit wide in the front for a great feel. Being on my feel all day they eventually swell but I still feel comfortable. I was even able to wear them after recovering from a sprained foot. There are also two stabilizing nodules located in the heel that kept my foot in place and didn't slide in and out when I went from a regular to a power walk pace.
