Makarov CO2 BB Pistol air pistol Review

Born in USSR, I have some memories about this thing. That is the main reason I bought it. Power is not that strong, but for 2,8" barrel and overall size of the gun - that's OK. Out of the box, the gun trigger was squeaking - oiling movable parts resolved the noise. As a mechanically inclined person, I found few issues with it. First of all, there is a big gap between slide and barrel, which makes the gun not accurate, if the recoil spring is pushing the slide on one side. That was fixed by electrical tape around the barrel. Secondly, inside the gun, in the "fire" mode, the hammer was slightly hitting safety lever before hitting the valve, which made shooting less powerful. Fixed by filing safety lever. Piercing was VERY hard. After piercing the third cylinder, the piercing screw broke. Was gonna send it back, but got regular hex bolt from hardware store. After a bit of work, the new screw does its job fine. So, now I use 7/16 wrench for piercing - horrible, but piercing is now very easy. Well, for that amount of money - still a good BBQ party shooter.

Giro Feature Cycling Helmet (Matte Clear/Orange Forrest Floor, Small) Review

This is the best helmet I ever had for my type of riding (which is mostly going down, but I have to earn these descents). The fitting of this helmet is so good that it feels like it was molded on my head. I also think that this is a great looking helmet - it not like most other bike helmet that look like a mushroom - it has a low profile and curdle most of the head, given you a great protection. Also this seems like a true mountain bike helmet and not like something adopted from road biking. Having said that, I have to point its few limitations - it is poorly ventilated, its one of those helmet that you must try before you buy as the retention system is doing very little (it fits just like a full face helmet - its either sits good on your head or it not, there is no in-between for this one). Also it does feel cheaper than my previous helmet (the Xen) with must less padding and the straps feel very thin (it is however lighter helmet than the Xen). Another plus for this one is the excellent adjustable visor it has - better than the Xen's and better than not having any (which is what most other helmet having)
So if you are looking for well ventilated helmet, or you don't have the right head shape - don't buy it, otherwise, this is the best helmet out there!

As a first time wheelgunner I was looking for an IWB holster for my brand spanking new S&W 642.

Went online to check out what was available. It was depressing to see the high prices & long waiting times for quality leather from the 'premiere' holstermakers (not to mention the extra ten dollars they charge for five dollars worth of shipping).
Sure, there's plenty of cheap kydex out there but the friction between plastic & my nice new revolver would probably result in ten years wear within a matter of months. Besides, I like the look, smell, and feel of real leather.

After spotting this Blackhawk leather IWB on Ebay I checked Amazon's price and it was the same - WITH FREE SHIPPING!
Forty-three bucks is less than 1/2 the price you would pay for a holster with similar features from the hoity-toity leather guys. Molded sight track - angle adjustable belt loop - tension screw adjustment - body shield...all wrapped up in quality Italian leather molded to fit my gun, and my gun only. No one-size-fits 20 different guns...just my S&W J Frame.

Upon receipt I found two problems.

First, the belt loop stuck out a mile. This is suppose to be concealed carry, not an advertisement I'm packing heat. But that was an easy fix. I unscrewed the belt loop, soaked the bottom leather portion (where it bends) in cold water for 15 minutes, then clamped & left it for 24 hours to dry. Now it lays nice & flat.
Second, no screw tension adjustment tool was provided. However, I own a couple sets of allen wrenches so no problem finding one the right size.

This is a wheelgun. It will never sit as flat & inconspicuous as a Kel Tec P3at nor even a Kahr PM9. But removing the extra bulk from the belt loop coupled with the thin design of this holster gives the wearer concealment and the confidence that goes with carrying 5 rounds of .38+P Hollow Points in a revolver that will never-ever stovepipe when the chips are down.

With the right screw tension and the perfectly molded fit for my exact weapon I can do cartwheels (not really) without worrying my piece is going to fall out of this holster in front of God & everyone at the worse possible moment.
Conversely, without having to deal with a thumbsnap when the SHTF it draws quick & smooth.

As with all holsters a decent belt is a necessity. For this particular holster I suggest a minimum belt width of 1 1/2" of quality leather to help maintain proper holster position and so there isn't too much 'play' inside the belt loop when you draw.
With the money you saved buying this holster you can now afford to purchase a good holster-worthy belt.

Is this Blackhawk leather IWB the perfect holster? That's like asking if your fiance' is the prettiest woman in the world. There's always one babe comes walking around the corner that looks a little better at first glance, but in the final analysis can't do anything better than the one you've already got.

I've got two boxes of leather, kydex, and nylon sitting down in the basement. Some are just plain poorly designed & unuseable. Others unwieldly or feel cheap. Ten or so I made myself - they range from Godawful to Hey!...that almost worked.
But upstairs I keep the select few I frequently carry on and off depending on what clothing fits the weather and my weapon of choice. This holster will reside upstairs.

Columbia Men's Hailtech II Jacket, X-Large, Mountain Review

I tried on a new Hailtech II Jacket at a local retailer and was immediately disappointed. I'm medium build, 6 foot tall, and normally take an XL. The sizing scale for this jacket seems wrong somehow, because the sleeves are cut so narrow that I had to use the other hand to pull each arm through. They are tubular, like a sausage, with none of the loose relaxed fit of my old Glennaker. Wearing the jacket zipped up, I tried to lift my arms, and the jacket rode up over my chest. There is not enough material in the small of my back, so if I tried to lift something heavy, it might tear. Furthermore, the front rode up over my gut and looked bad. I am not a small person, so need a bit of looseness in the arms and front, but there doesn't seem to be any slack in the design.

The styling is strange. There is a cell phone zip pocket set at an angle on the front of the jacket with a different colour material. From a distance, it looks like a mistake. I dislike it strongly. I like a clean front. Leave the cell phone pocket inside!

Overall, the jacket looks and feels cheap. It is a joke that they charge more than a hundred dollars. I much prefer the older Glennaker shell, which you can also find here. It is a much better lightweight rain shell for the money. That's my opinion, for what it's worth.

My only complaint is the reel seat on the casting models is huge. Looks like they used a spinning reel seats. This requires you to tighten down the reel seat almost to the breaking point to keep the reel from flexing when retrieving. Had this problem with the medium sized Abu's.

TYR Women's Alliance T-Splice Maxback Swimsuit - 2010 - Black/White - 38 Review

So I don't think one pieces are often very flattering, just the nature of the beast there. But I think that this is pretty flattering, with the higher-but-not-too-high cut of the legs, as well as the red swirl design.

I will say that despite what some other reviews say that it is true to fit, I think that it runs small and here's why: I am pear shaped - my bottom is bigger than my top (I'm a 34A on top), but I wear a size 6 in pants and a 2 or 4 in dresses from the Gap, Banana Republic and JCrew. If memory serves, according to the sizing chart, I should wear a 32. Because I'm a pear, I actually went to a local store that was selling this suit for quite a bit more and tried on the sizes. A 32 technically fit, but it was tight and my body spilled out of it. Especially in the back, where there is a lower-back cut out at the top of the butt - that was not attractive in the smaller sizes (but again, I'm a pear and that's my problem area). The 36 still fits well without it being so tight I overflow in it. I realize that swimsuits seem to run small in general, as I typically go up a size in swimsuits overall. I'm thinking that maybe the other reviewers are used to this going up a size and didn't think of it, or maybe it's just because I'm a pear that I had this experience. I am not a swim-racer, so I am just going to the pool, swimming my laps, then playing in the water or reading poolside. But my advice is to go up a size or even two. The fabric is giving but not too giving, so I think there is a good amount of leeway you can do.

It does not ride up in the back, no wedgies at all - not one, not even off the high dive! And the straps have not felt like they are going to fall down, much less actually fall down. It is very comfortable!!

The fabric is great - it is lined and the lining is very nice because it smooths without being bulky. I feel like an athlete in the suit, but more like Serena Williams - stylish too!! It dries quickly and I've been in the water a lot this summer and it still looks brand new yet. I think that I will have this suit for years and years and years.
