I've been using this tank when camping for several years. It is great with a "Propane Distribution Tree" that allows a lantern to be mounted on top and hoses for stoves to attach to the side. I normally place it on top of the campground picnic table.

The tank is very portable and very stable due to the wide base. It appears to be more stable than the available 10 and 11 pound tanks.

Even though it's a small tank, the much larger mass than 1 pound disposable cylinders prevents the common loss of pressure that happens when the small cylinders approach empty and they "freeze-up".

The only downsides are due to the limited capacity, and difficulty in getting a good fill. This tank is so short that the "Overfill Prevention Device", which is a float valve, tends to shut off early if the technician tries to fill too fast. Ask them to just crack the fill valve and you will will get a better fill. Still, the usable capacity is just 4.2 pounds or about the same as 4 disposable cylinders.

Of course the price is a problem. 20 pound tanks are cheap, anything bigger or smaller is a lot more. I presume it's due to lower sales volume. The price was worth it to me due to the ease of use.

I bought this snorkel last year for a trip to Fiji that involved a great deal of snorkeling. The set is well constructed, the mask fits nicely, the snorkel works well, and the fins fit great. What more can you want? The bag that comes with it is super handy- I actually used it to carry my stuff on non snorkel trips where I needed a water proof carrying bag.

If it helps: I am a woman with a size 9 foot and I got the small/medium set. I was concerned the fins would be small, but they fit great.

I really love this wetsuit for kids. My son has been reluctant to swim at the YMCA pool because the water is set at 82 degrees and he is shivering in about 10 minutes. We have tried the one piece nylon rash guard type swimsuit but it didn't do enough. The first time we tried this wetsuit, he was in for over 45 minutes. Now that he is a fish, I really enjoy the finer features of the suit. It is very rugged. I like the feel of the material. It is closefitting without being constricting. It has a long pull cord for the zipper in the back so the person can put it on by themselves. It also has a slot in the pull tab to put a velcro tab to hold the zipper in the up position. I wondered if this long cord would get in the way and it has not been a factor. It is definitely a plus. I was so pleased that I am keeping the next size up (I ordered 2 sizes so that I could see which one fit) for him to grow into. I also like the fact that it dries very quickly. You can use it daily and never have to worry about climbing into a damp, cold suit.

I was drawn to this watch due to two main reasons:
1) It is waterproof and rated to dive and swim in regularly.
2) The red/orange color scheme.

I did buy this not just as a fashion deal, but also mainly as a swim/dive watch, which it seems well enough at so far, as long as you wipe the band dry afterward, or it will crack, especially with chlorinated water. It is a digital-only design, with the seconds monitored above the time, which will take some time to get used to reading, but it helps as a unique chronometer, should you have to count seconds for something (I have used it in a laboratory for an experiment), but I could see it coming in handy for nurses who must take blood pressure.

You may not be able to tell, but the face is metallic gun-metal gray, and looks great with the red/orange. I made a pair of NikeiD shoes with the same color scheme, and found a watch to match it, but with all of the other setups G-Shock offers, you can definitely find one for you.

It looks a little old-fashioned, early 90's or so, but it keeps from looking out-dated somehow, and if you like the pictures of it on here, then you will love the way it looks in your hand.

Columbia Men's Utilizer II Jacket, Tusk, Large Review

I bought this jacket primarily to serve as a wind and wet weather shell for walking and jogging in the moderate Seattle climate. So far it has worked perfectly for this purpose. In addition, it looks smart enough to wear generally on other occasions. It is long enough that it covers most type of shirts that one would wear on the outside of pants. I wear a medium size, and this fits me perfectly (I would say that it is old school medium and not the inflated medium size of recent years). Note that it is narrowly tailored, and it would probably not fit over a bulky sweater or other heavy layer. It has a thin fleece lining which provides adequate warmth in cool temperatures. In spite of the weather resistant outer layer it seems to breathe well, and I have not overheated in it while out jogging. I have not been in a downpour yet, so cannot comment on water resistance.

I have some minor complaints: the lapels don't lie completely flat against the jacket when partially unzipped (they are a bit rumply), and the garment has some wrinkles that won't go away (you are not supposed to iron it). Maybe things will straighten out a bit after the first washing.

All in all I would recommend it to anyone for a light weight jacket.

Let me start by saying that I love ExOfficio products in general, and I use and love their give and go boxers, and I recently purchased the ExOfficio Men's Trifecta Check Long Sleeve Shirt which is awesome. I though I would also buy some travel pants from them since their other products were so good.

I am going on a trip overseas soon which will involve about 20 hours of flights. I wanted to buy some comfortable pants that would be good for airplane flying. Previously I wore jeans when I took this flight in the past, and after a few hours they became uncomfortable. So I started to look for a pair of pants that would look good (not look like tracksuit or pajama pants) and be comfortable for such a long trip. The Nomad pants looked like they fit the bill - from the pictures they look like a nice pair of Kakhis. Plus the reviews here were very good so I thought it would be a safe bet. The one positive thing about these pants is that they are very lightweight while still feeling like they have substance. However for me the list of cons were too long:

- They do not look as nice as they do in the pictures. They look more like a tracksuit pant or a pair of pajama pants. I am not looking for anything formal or dressy, but these pants look too informal.
- They are tight in the crotch area and when you sit it is very noticeable
- I felt like I needed a belt, but since the material is so thin wearing a belt is a bit uncomfortable.
- Even though they are tight in the crotch area, they seem to be a bit too baggy everywhere else.
- When you walk they make a bit of noise like a tracksuit pant would. Its not that bad, but definitely noticeable.

I think these pants would only be good if someone was going to a tropical environment, or hiking or something like that. Otherwise if you are looking for a comfortable pair of travel pants that work well for air travel these in my opinion are not good. I have already returned them.

I bought these pants for traveling in Africa. They are actually meant for fishing but they were perfect for the trip. I needed something very thin and light, but not see-through. I also needed something that was longer than my normal beach shorts. The pants can be worn full length or rolled up.

The pants are not stretchy, however, and were a little snug around the butt/crotch area. They just fit perfectly, but they would likely be too tight for anyone who is somewhat curvy.
