My son wore this style shoe until literally they don't make his size anymore. I love this shoe. He started wearing it at a size 3 all the way to 6. The smaller sizes didn't require tying as they have a toggle lace. The shoe fit his foot which is considered average - though his foot was too wide for sketchers. It was sturdy and a great mud shoe. Easy for my son to get on and off and totally comfortable for him all year round. He was able to run, climb, jump in it - and got 'great speed'!
